Geologist - Drill & Blast Tunnels - Hong Kong

HK $Negotiable + flights + benefits 

Geologist required for a leading contractor working on a major civil engineering project in Hong Kong.

You will be responsible for identifying any geotechnical factors affecting engineering works of projects and carrying out the following duties:

Perform detailed technical analysis of earth material and risk assessment of geotechnical hazards;
Geotechnical mapping and discontinuity survey;
Field work inspection;
Borehole core and trial pit logging;
Experience in soil nailing works and drill record interpretation;
Undertake detailed rock slope and boulder surveys, mapping and report preparation;
Interpret geotechnical monitoring data (groundwater and ground movement).

Job Qualifications

Degree holder in Geotechnical Engineering / Geology / Earth Sciences or equivalent;
Experience in geological work;
Familiar in the use of geotechnical software DIPS;
Accurate, analytical and detail-minded;
Drill & Blast tunnels and Q-System experience are essential
